Who we are
Olorato Bookkeepers is a network of bookkeeping professionals in Botswana, reached at info@olorato.co.bw and on WhatsApp at +267 7846 7382. Our office is at Plot 9256, Mogoditshane, Kweneng District, Botswana. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
The law we follow
We process personal information under Botswana's Data Protection Act, 2018. Where a client or employee is outside Botswana, we apply the same standard.
What we collect
Through the quote, contact and job application forms: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, town, and what you tell us about your business or your experience. Once you are a client, the financial records needed to keep your books and file your returns.
Why we use it and on what basis
To answer your enquiry and quote (your request), to deliver the engagement or your employment (the agreement between us), and to file with BURS and CIPA on your behalf (legal obligations). We do not sell your information or use it for anyone else's marketing.
How the forms work
When you send a form, its contents are passed to our form processor, Web3Forms, which delivers them to the Olorato desk by email. If you choose WhatsApp, your message goes through WhatsApp under its own terms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become work are deleted within twelve months. Accounting and tax records are kept for the period Botswana's tax and companies law requires, then securely destroyed.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, object to how it is used, or ask us to delete what the law does not require us to keep. Write to info@olorato.co.bw and we will answer within thirty days.
Changes to this notice
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
